Australian Library

‘Australian Library’?

A contribution from a AFP member:

“This is not just a naming for this webpage.

Australian Library‘ represents an intellectual asset of Australian citizens.  How could it not be?   Indeed, the name is now a registered business name with the national government authority, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission on 22nd April 2024.

In addition, the website domain ‘Australianlibrary.com.au‘ has been similarly registered in Australia with auDA via an Australian-based domain/website hosting provider in Sydney, on the same day.  The domain currently remains dormant, yet can readily be converted into a website or to a subdomain of this website.

Both intellectual property ownerships reside on Australian soil and are currently held indefinitely by a long-time member of AFP, a sixth-generation Australian citizen.

This distinctive and quite classic and symbolic name ‘Australian Library’, believe it or not had not been taken by anyone prior.  It is distinct from the ‘National Library of Australia’ and ‘The Australian Library and Information Association’ (ALIA), and the ‘State Library of New South Wales’ being the oldest library in Australia.  All have clearly overlooked the branding opportunity to secure the name ‘Australian Library’.  It will be to their loss and regret!

So, the intention is that both the business name and the website domain will at a mutual time that suits, have full perpetual ownership rights of both transferred to AFP President Dr Jim Saleam for the benefit of Australia First Party.  To this end, on 24th September 2025 (yesterday), this AFP Member pledged in writing to Dr Jim Saleam this undertaking, explaining that the member has personal motive to used them either in any way, rather the names have been secured for the sole benefit of AFP.

AFP has a policy of establishing a literary collection of Australian-sourced and themed books (non-fiction and fiction), as well as newspapers, manuscripts, articles, prose, ephemera, whatever.

The proposed venture concept is that rather than using generic phrases like ‘store’, ‘bookshop’, ‘reading centre’, et al – Australian Library provides a distinctly unique umbrella brand to host such collections, and not just as a library but also as a bookshop to generate revenue for AFP.”

Member comments are welcome, and best directed to AF President Jim Saleam.

Of note, AFP also proposes that the Australian Library concept be extended to incorporating both:

(1) a physical library of printed material/works and,

(2) to have an important online presence on this very website.  Proposed are to reproduce the following previous websites in toto:

    1.  Radnat – https://radnat.australiafirstparty.biz/
    2.  AusFirst – https://ausfirst.australiafirstparty.biz/
